Bluetooth innovators prep for higher speed, lower power, added value

Bluetooth products now on the drawing board are beginning to take advantage of the new generation of Bluetooth wireless technology. With products appearing in 2009, Bluetooth low energy technology is being designed into products such as watches and remote controls. High-speed Bluetooth technology will appear in devices for fast sharing of music, video and photos. Both new versions of the technology are supported by more than 10,000 member companies of the Bluetooth Special Interest Group.
